excellent article. By the way it seems you have a tendency to blog on some psychological issues. Any specific reason? And nice of you to quote that article from The Hindu.

What an excellent overview of affirmations!

Discovering the power of affirmations for personal change is like finding diamonds in a field. The wonderful thing about them is that once they've sunk into your subconscious - they become permanent.

It's all in your mind.

We usually under estimate the extent to which negative thoughts affect us.
Apart from the obvious things like not having confidence in ourselves, low self esteem there are several other bad things it brings. Like losing trust in people we are very close to, not trusting people when they try to tell us some positive things or try to boost our morale. Shunning away advice by people and isolating from people because we think they 'don't understand' what we are 'going through' or how 'miserable' we are.
So it becomes a lot difficult for others to help us out of this and we ourselves have to get ourselves out of it.

We don't realise how bad negative thoughts are unless we have gone through it and more importantly come out of it.

One statement that stands out is - 'Boost the positive and you will find that you are a success during good times, and a survivor during the hard!'
very true! as long as we believe in the positive process everything else around us may let us down...but we will never let ourselves down.A composure to accept defeat and humiliation during the bad times with positive thoughts eventually leads to accepting success as just something that had to come and will help us keep grounded. As someone who has been adapting this method for the past few weeks its surely has benefited me in many ways most importantly its been my best friend during the bad times. I am no more a loner i am surrounded by positive things Lots of it through different means.
